Description

:iconstaboct: Yep, I'm goin' for another one. Let's see if I can get through the auditions first, yeah?
Speaking of which, here's the audition: [link]

Name: Sara Hanate
Age: 16
Height: 5’6”
Hometown: Lostlorn Forest, Unova
Personality: Sara is very bubbly and happy-go-lucky, and always willing to listen if her mouth isn’t going off first. She hasn’t been on her journey for long, but her dream is to befriend lots of humans and learn about their way of life. Her immense kindness and passion for helping others warms people up to her relatively quickly, but her naivety makes it easy to deceive her, especially if she’s lied to by a Pokémon; she’ll believe anything they say.
She grew up with Pokémon, and adores every single one of them. While most Trainers like to battle each other in their spare time, Sara likes to curl up in a tree or on a patch of sunlit grass with her Pokémon friends and relax the day away; she’s missed many an appointment by sleeping through it. She’ll apologize nonstop afterwards, though, being very honest. When she is battling, she doesn’t see it that way: her friends are the ones fighting, not her, and she’ll shout suggestions or warnings to them. She doesn’t understand why humans refer to caught Pokémon as being “theirs”; she could never say her friends belonged to her. She doesn’t mind Fire Types, and has even been known to grab the smaller ones for a hug when she’s cold, but she IS afraid of the destruction brought by fire. Living in a forest makes you naturally afraid of its weaknesses; she met one of her friends after a forest fire. However, she understands that it isn’t always a bad thing, having witnessed first-hand the affect ash has on plant growth, and so while she fears it she also respects it dually.
History: From shortly after birth till her 16th birthday, Sara was raised by Pokémon. She was left on the outskirts of a forest as a baby, where she was taken in by a mother Zoroark and her young Zorua. While living in the forest she left very little, and as such knows very few things about humans and their way of life, which is why she’s journeying now. Because she was raised by Pokémon and lived around them all of her life, she has the unique ability to understand them. Her in-depth conversations with her non-human friends have earned her many an odd look when out and about. Another interesting skill of hers to note is that she can tell when a Pokémon is a Zoroark in disguise. At least, she can most of the time; she’s been away from home for almost a year now, traveling the Unova region with a few of her friends from the forest. She hasn’t seen a Zoroark or Zorua in many months. Her “Brother”, who she mentions plenty when in conversation, is the Zorua she grew up with, named Illumo, who is now a Zoroark but stayed behind when she left home. It’s the second time she’s been away from him (ever), and the longest time to boot.
About 10 months ago, Sara was seen at the Porygon Stadium, which held a tournament to commemorate its opening. While there, she met lots of humans and Pokémon, all of whom inspired her to go on her own. Before that, she spent her days in her forest home, playing and resting with all of the Pokémon who lived there. Since leaving, Sara has been in many battles and understands how they work quite well, and has plenty of winnings to spend. She’s not rich by normal standards, but the fact that she sleeps in trees and not in hotels or the like saves her plenty of money. She’s only just started figuring what all money can be used for, and has only gone shopping for clothes, though she doesn’t get why humans can’t go around naked like Pokémon do. Also, even though she can tell that she isn’t a Pokémon, she still feels like she fits in with them more than she does with humans, and it doesn’t help that she doesn’t know who her real parents are; she only knows that the Zoroark who raised her is “Mother”.

Pokémon 1:
Name: Fife
Species: Braviary
Sex: Male
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Calm
Battle Style: Fife knows only attack moves, relying on speed rather than stat boosts to evade opposing attacks. Flying around and dodging to get a feel for his opponents personality and moveset, he’ll only fight back once he’s sure that he can win; otherwise, he’ll wait until either his opponent is too exhausted to continue or until he can no longer evade and is defeated.
Moves: Sky Drop, Fly, Air Slash, Aerial Ace, Crush Claw
Other Info: He’s always been Soule’s role model and has been teaching the Fire-and-Bug Type how to fly since before he evolved. Their “flying drills” consist of Soule riding on his back and covering Fife’s eyes so that the Larvesta must read the wind currents and convey them to his flying companion so that they stay airborne and avoid a messy landing. Because of this, they are very good friends and are excellent together in double battles. They will also fight in triple battles with Subain, as he has recently joined their flying drills as well.
His calm temperament is rare in his species, but even he can snap sometimes. If his friends are teased or looked down upon, he won’t hesitate to put the bully in their place. Sky Drop is his favorite “teaching method” in such cases. Also, an interesting thing to note is that he has a few extra feathers on his head: two extra forehead feathers and one extra white feather on either side of his head.

Pokémon 2:
Name: Soule
Species: Larvesta
Sex: Male
Ability: Flame Body
Nature: Excitable
Battle Style: Soule doesn’t battle much, but when he does, he has the courage of an Entei. Racing to Incinerate his opponent, he’ll get as close as possible before attacking in hopes of doing extra damage and finishing quickly. He isn’t too speedy of a Pokémon, however, so he usually settles for a Solarbeam if he can’t get close enough or a Bug Bite if he can but can’t manage an Incinerate. Acrobatics is only used for evasion, and even then it is used rarely.
Moves: Acrobatics, Incinerate, Solarbeam, Bug Bite
Other Info: He looks up to Fife like an older brother and has even been known to drool when watching his winged friend fly by. He was very depressed for some time when Fife evolved before he did, but he managed to push past it and continue his flying training with the bird Pokémon. Because Sara hatched him from an egg, he refers to her as his “Mom”.
Subain is his newest friend, and the two of them get along so well that you’d think they were best friends in a previous life. They both have dreams of evolving into Flying-types, and those ambitions strive for them to train together, which they do most days during their free time.

Pokémon 3:
Name: Subain
Species: Bagon
Sex: Male
Ability: Rock Head
Nature: Ambitious
Battle Style: Wanting desperately to evolve, he can be a bit headstrong in battle, attacking at every opportunity (for better or for worse). He tends to start battles with Rock Tomb and rush in with physical attack moves while his opponent is trapped.
Moves: Headbutt, Bite, Dragon Claw, Rock Tomb
Other Info: He hasn’t been with Sara for very long, but he’s made fast friends with Soule and Fife. They all practice flying together and it’s made their friendships strong.
The only Pokémon of Sara’s that he doesn’t like is her Gardevoir Daiza. While the true reason is unknown, it’s believed that he harbors this hatred because of their difference in personality: she is calm, collected, and kind, whereas he is reckless, fun-loving, and quick to anger.

Pokémon 4:
Name: Maw
Species: Blitzle
Sex: Female
Ability: Lightning Rod
Nature: Hyper
Battle Style: She takes pride in her amazing speed, and will not hesitate to comment on her opponent if they’re considerably slower than she is. Quick Attack and Flame Charge are her favorite moves to use, especially against opponents that challenge her quickness. Wild Charge gets her places, and Shock Wave is good for waking her opponents up if they daydream, but she doesn’t use them often.
Moves: Shock Wave, Flame Charge, Quick Attack, Wild Charge
Other Info: Her best friend for life is Step. Rivals, they like to challenge each other to Flame Charge races to see who’s fastest; Maw usually wins. There are some occasions, however, where she feels compassion for Step’s hard work and perseverance and will let him win. Her favorite thing about doing this is the huge grin that plasters itself on his face when this happens. She might have a bit of a crush on the Fire-and-Fighting Type, and loves fighting in double battles with him.
Because of her hyper nature, she tends to talk a lot about almost everything. She’ll often say things without thinking them through, which earns her many a disapproving glare among other Pokémon, but she honestly can’t help speaking her mind. She always speaks the truth, whether it’s hurtful or not.

Pokémon 5:
Name: Step
Species: Pignite
Sex: Male
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Childlike
Battle Style: Step knows the difference in importance between long-range and short-range moves, and will use them accordingly. Focus Blast is usually aimed at an opponent’s feet to stir up dust on their side, and Flame Charge dirties the air on his side, giving him a chance at stealth to run in with Poison Jab. He doesn’t use Rollout often because he knows how reckless of a move it is.
Moves: Flame Charge, Rollout, Focus Blast, Poison Jab
Other Info: Sara found him badly burned and starving after a forest fire years ago. She nursed him back to health and he’s felt eternally grateful to her ever since. He still sports a large burn mark on his stomach as a reminder of what fire can do, and as such he doesn’t expel flames very often.
Since Sara met him as a Tepig, he’s been very small for his species, and is about 6 inches shorter than average Pignite. His tail, however, is rather large and he takes pride in its size (what he doesn’t realize is that his tail is actually normal-sized and his body is what’s different).

Pokémon 6:
Name: Daiza
Species: Gardevoir
Sex: Female
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Kind
Battle Style: She only fights when absolutely necessary, preferring to watch from the sidelines and cheer for her friends. When she does have to get rough, though, she’s very serious. Starting with Wish and then teleporting to evade and sneak up on her opponents, she uses Psychic to throw her opponents and then hit them with Shadow Ball while they’re airborne or getting up.
Moves: Teleport, Wish, Psychic, Protect, Shadow Ball
Other Info: She’s one of Sara’s newest Pokémon, but stands as the Mother figure in the group. Often the voice of reason, she’ll stop fights amongst the friends if and/or when they start. She knows that Subain doesn’t care for her company as much as the others do, and as such doesn’t try to force her presence on him.
She’s the oldest out of all 6 Pokémon, and though she’s younger than Sara, she still treats the human girl like a daughter, taking care of her and reassuring her when she’s distraught.

*EDIT*

A very intriguing character! I get the feeling that her and my character might get along pretty well.

Best of luck to you! I can't wait to see what you do with her in this tournament!
